Nvidia Launches Microsoft Certified Updated VR GeForce Drivers

Nvidia has released new updated drivers for its graphics cards that will fix several known performance issues, as well as enhancing them for VR gaming.

Nvidia advertises the new GeForce Game Ready 368.81 WHQL Virtual Reality drivers to ensure the best VR gaming experience with the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.

The company even confidently assures that its “Game Ready” drivers will enhance immersion further via smoother, more stutter-free gameplay.

The updated drivers promise to optimize playability for upcoming big VR titles such as Everest VR, NVIDIA VR Funhouse, Obduction, Raw Data, and The Assembly.

“Our long-running [Game Ready] program delivers the best possible experience on the day of a game’s release by optimizing performance and latency.”

For the reported performance issues, the updated drivers should finally address and fix several hardware incompatibility problems with the HTC Vive DisplayPort.

In addition, the same update will also have patches to deal with Oculus Rift’s recent GPU boosting issues.

If that is not enough, Nvidia even promotes that the new drivers are Windows Hardware Quality Labs certified and approved, “ensuring high-quality, end-to-end hardware experiences for our gamers”. Official download links for the drivers are available here.
