Microsoft's Android-based lock screen lets users create a custom unlock and call contacts directly from the lock screen. The service also comes with features such as notifications, app launching, weather, calendar, settings, and music all directly from Next Lock Screen. Microsoft described the service on the official page:

“Next Lock Screen is the ultimate lock screen for busy professionals. Next helps protect your phone from unwanted access by others, and you are instantly more productive. It is an excellent productivity locker app and companion for your everyday life.”

In February, the company introduced fingerprint recognition to unlock the device. Other new features in that update included “location-based wallpaper,” which magically switches the wallpapers as soon as the user switches locations.
