is making another new feature for Groove available. The company is sending out the Your Groove feature in the latest update, build version 3.6.2303.0. At the moment the feature is only available for the Preview and Slow rings for Windows Insiders.

Admittedly, is still some way short of its music streaming rivals like Spotify and Apple Music. However, Microsoft has been working to add more functionality in recent months. The feature was announced by Ellen Kilbourne, Groove Music product manager.

Your Groove adds a fairly necessary feature to any music playing service. It offers the functionality to see your recently played music, while also recommending playlists based on your listening history. Microsoft describes the feature on the Windows Store:

Introducing Your Groove, the place for music that is centered around you, what you like, and your listening habits. This is where you'll not only find your recently played items, but also brand new automatically curated recommended playlists built just for your taste. They update often to always give you fresh recommendations, but you can save a copy any time to edit, download or just save to listen to later.”

Recent Groove improvements

In May, Microsoft opened up the free trial period for Groove Music. The company bumped the initial 30-day trial period and doubled it to give users 60-days (two months). It was a move to attract more long-term subscribers, but it was only available in the United States.

That same month, Redmond sent out another update to Windows Insiders. Microsoft improved Stations for top artists in the Radio and copying links and share content is easier.

Groove Music costs $9.99 per month and features the ability to download for offline listening, a radio feature, cross-platform availability (including on Xbox), and 38 million tracks globally.
