Microsoft Office 365 Education gets Support from Learning Platform Hapara

Cloud-based education service Hapara announced its service will arrive on Office 365 Education with OneNote integration and key learning tools.

Education platform Hapara has announced that it is making its long-awaited debut on 's Office 365 suite, saying the service will land on the cloud suite “soon”. Until now the education-oriented software had only been available on Google Apps, but has been much requested for .

The company says it responded to customer feedback to bring the platform to Office 365, introducing the Hapara Teacher Dashboard and Workspace to Office 365 Education.

Hapara software helps teachers, educators, and students through a cloud-based platform that allows them to improve learning outcomes. The Teacher Dashboard will integrate with OneNote and add an instructional management layer to the service. Teachers are able to see all work within a classroom, allowing real-time feedback to be provided.
Workspace lets teacher change the workload of individual students or groups, while also allowing them to track progress and provide feedback.

Hapara on the Office 365 platform gives educators the tool they need to enable visibility, personalized learning, and safety in this digital environment,” Microsoft New Zealand's Education Sector Manager Evan Blackman says.

Features available to those using Hapara include:

Easy access and visibility to learner work: View a quick summary of learner progress across OneNote organized by classes and subjects.
Improve skills development: Organize learners into groups and provide individual feedback and support to improve skills and mastery of topics.
Quickly share documents with learners: Share documents, assignments, and resources quickly with individual learners, groups and the whole class.
Individualize learning by differentiating assignments: Track progress and submissions, provide feedback and guidance.
Promote student agency and responsibility: Give learners an easy interface to manage their assignments, customize their submissions and participate in learning and .

Activity visibility tools: Allow teachers to see learner screens and class browsing activity.

Microsoft recently updated is OneNote Class Notebook with a new Teacher Only section, a collaboration space lockdown, Custom Permissions, and content APIs.
