Microsoft Opens Online Store in India’s New Tata CLiQ

Microsoft will launch its online storefront in newly-launched Tata CLiQ, replacing Amazon India which previously sold much of the Microsoft products available on the market.

The new Online Store will allow consumers to enjoy easy access to the company's wide range of products.

Tata CLiQ eyes to be the top marketplace for in-house and partner companies to sell apparel and electronics. It is the new e-commerce venture of Tata Group, 's biggest business conglomerate.

Available products

Tata CLiQ allows consumers to buy Microsoft products using their “phygital” services, a medium where users can buy an item online and select a store for pick-up. This feature is available across 500 stores and 12 partner brands.

Except the Xbox One, numerous Microsoft products such as the Surface Pro 4 are available via Tata CLiQ. The Lumia 650 and 550 are also available at a discounted price as part of an inaugural offer at for ?14,699 and ?6,599 respectively.

The aforementioned products are previously exclusive on Amazon, but are now unavailable. Microsoft launched its official storefront on Amazon India last 2014 that also sold a variety of its products, including the Xbox, Windows Phone, Windows 8.1, Office, laptops, tablets, and accessories.

As with Amazon India, Microsoft aims to use its device store to ‘host the best deals and exclusive launches' for its products.
