Microsoft´s New Bing News PubHub Makes Getting Listed on Bing News Much Easier

The tool similar to Google News Publisher Center offers a console where webmasters can request inclusion into Bing News.

-

Big or small, International or local – all Bing verified publishers can now use the new Bing News PubHub to expand their reach and distribute their news content through the app, Cortana, Outlook News Connector and other Microsoft properties.

Before submitting a site at the Bing News PubHub, publishers need to make sure the property complies with Bing´s Webmaster guidelines that it´s registered correctly within Bing Webmaster Tools.

Bing will evaluate submitted websites using the following criteria:

  • Newsworthiness – Reporting on timely events and topics is essential. Content that doesn't focus on reporting, such as how-to articles, job postings, advice columns, product promotions, is not considered newsworthy. Similarly, content that strictly consists information without original reporting or analysis also lacks newsworthiness.
  • Originality – Content should be original and unique. Faced with numerous sources frequently reporting similar or identical content, originality or uniqueness becomes a critical way to determine the value of an individual story to a user.
  • Authority – Identification of sources, authors, and attribution of all content is important. News sites with authority maintain the highest level of trust and respect from our users.
  • Readability – The website should be clean and easy to navigate, and its content should be grammatically correct and readable.

Using Bing News PubHub is a no-brainer and works like the Google News Publisher Center. You have to enter some details and with a simple online form to submit a news website at the Bing Publisher Network.
