Microsoft has released a new version of the OneDrive desktop client, which offers users to sync both personal and OneDrive business accounts.

A little over a year ago, Microsoft announced its plans for the future of OneDrive and the Universal Windows Platform.

With a vision to deliver a seamless cloud storage experience, the company promised to provide a OneDrive sync client that will support both personal and business accounts by the end of 2015.

With build number 17.3.6390.0509, the new OneDrive client does just that. When going into the ‘Account‘ section from the settings menu of Microsoft OneDrive, users will be able to find both ‘Add a personal account‘ and ‘Add a business account‘ under the ‘Add an account‘ section.

To add a business account, make sure that you have the latest version installed. Then all you need to do is push the button and follow the easy step-by-step prompts. Once both accounts are active, users will be able to find two different entries for OneDrive in File Explorer.

The OneDrive Desktop and Unified Windows Platform apps with the ability to add both a personal and a business account are currently available for Windows Phone 8/8.1, Windows 10 Desktop/Mobile and Windows 7/8.1 Desktop.
