Microsoft has rolled out an update for Outlook Groups through the Windows Store, expanding the functionality of the application. On top of a number of improvements and features, Microsoft is also conducting some customary bug squashes and security fixes.
Outlook Groups lets users in a team (such as in business) connect to Office 365 and connect with each other to share photos and media, communicate, and collaborate.
The update is hardly extensive, but it does add some new features like connector's card support and the ability to attach recent files.
You can check out the change log here:
Connectors card support
Support to attach recently used files
New like animations
Bug fixes crash on notification settings page
Bug fixes in compose
Minor perf improvements
Microsoft's Outlook Groups is different and separate to the regular Outlook email exchange application, which the company has been continuing to update and support recently. Gmail has recently become a more potent rival to Outlook as Google debuted exchange support for its email business.
Concerning Outlook on Office 365, Microsoft has recently launched a Safety & Tips initiative that is aimed to keep users secure. There have also been consistent reports that the company is preparing a special premium version of Outlook that will cost $3.99 per month.
