Microsoft Issues Update for Word Mobile on Windows 10

is continuing its recent update blitz by rolling out an upgrade for the Word Mobile application on both and PCs running .

The build number for the update is build number 17.6769.47622.0 and comes with a few minor upgrades to the Word Mobile app.

Users are now able to attach photos easily directly from the camera app with an integrated button, while you can also open rich text format files within Word.

The update is unlikely to be seen by everyone at once, simply because it is only available for Windows devices running the RS1 build.

In terms of recent updates, Microsoft recently sent out build 17.6741.47691.0 for Word Mobile, which added new features such as the ability to use a finger to write and draw (Annotate with Ink) in the Draw tab. It is also possible to pin your favorite files to the Start menu.

The changelog for the latest update is not extensive, and looks something like this:

Open RTF files: You can now open rich text format (.rtf) files.

Insert picture from camera: Open the camera directly from Word and take a picture. Presto! The picture's in your document.
