Finally! Microsoft Is Launching Windows 10 Mobile on March 17

-

According to sources from withing Microsoft, the long awaited update to Windows Phone 8.1 will be officially released tomorrow.

UPDATE March 17, 2016 – 17:10 CETMicrosoft Officially Releases Windows 10 Mobile

At least this is what Evan Blass aka @evleaks is saying. Although this is not the first announcement of that kind and Microsoft has postponed Windows 10 Mobile several times, we strongly believe that the launch day has finally arrived.

Blass is usually a reliable source with great contacts to people inside Microsoft. The information also coincides to previous rumors from WindowsBlogItalia, which like Blass has a good track record for leaking Microsoft-related material.

According to that rumors the list of phones to get the final Windows 10 Mobile release include the models Lumia 1520, 930, 830, 640, 640 XL, 638 ,636 and 535.

If this is another case of false rumors remains to be seen. Earlier this month, it was reported that Vodafone Italy would start the roll out from March 7th.

Microsoft seems to have faced technical issues with Windows 10 Mobile which led to postponing the official release several times.

In February Microsoft Mexico took to its Facebook page to announce the Win 10 Mobile update would be landing on devices on February 29. The date came and went with no launch of the new build, so we are a little bit skeptical about  these most recent announcements.

But his historical track record goes in favor of Blass who also didn´t play a role in some of the previous announcements.
