Office 365: Microsoft entices small and midsized businesses with improved FastTrack migration support

-

The company will now offer Microsoft FastTrack service to businesses with more than 50 employees, that will empower new and growing businesses to adopt Office 365 efficiently.

Microsoft spearheaded its Office 365 campaigning with the introduction of FastTrack service last year, aimed at helping clients migrate their infrastructure to the Office 365 cloud.

The company grows more ambitious in bringing small to midsized businesses (SMBs) into the fold, by offering them Office 365 FastTrack.

“Starting today, customers with 50 to 149 seats of Office 365 enterprise and small business plans can take advantage of our customer success service Microsoft FastTrack.

Previously available only to customers with 150 seats or more, FastTrack provides resources and dedicated engineers who can assist you, or the Microsoft Partner you work with, to implement Office 365, onboard users and get the most business value from your investment.”

Microsoft already leads the cloud email market despite the widespread popularity of Google’s Apps for Work with small businesses. Microsoft acknowledges the report from Garter in its official blog post, which states that Microsoft is leading the email cloud market with larger companies, but Google continues to be a favorable choice for smaller businesses.

Taking a jab at Google’s Apps for Work, Microsoft mentions the statement made by Ted Vu, co-founder of beverage retailer Tastea. Vu’s company started out with Google Docs and some other free software, but as their requirements grew, they needed a scalable solution such as Microsoft Office 365 for their business.

CEO Satya Nadella has been constantly betting on the robust cloud computing infrastructure of Microsoft, which has clearly paid off in the FY2016 Q2. Office 365 alone has escalated its revenue by 15 percent since the last quarter, which gives Microsoft all the more reason to invest into the cloud email market.
