build 10586.63 is now live for Fast Ring users on the Insider program. While there is no official statement about changes, one employee has reported them on Reddit.

Mobile build 10586.63 might be one of the last preview builds before the final release of Windows 10 Mobile.

According to some sources, the final version of Windows 10 Mobile could be released on January 12 together with the Lumia 850.

The Reddit post from an unknown Microsoft employee lists the following changes for Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.63:

  • reliability, battery and performance improvements
  • Typing on Polish keyboard in Outlook Mail
  • Turn by turn directions over Bluetooth in car
  • Battery usage with Iris Reco
  • Reliability of quick actions settings page
  • MS Band use with Cortana

“Anyway, don't have much time to chat, but I know you guys like specifics, so I figured I'd share what I knew. If you are still having issues with these things after .63, lemmie know and I'll pass it along”, the short Reddit contribution ends.

As one user below confirms, Cortana works just fine with Windows 10 Mobile after the update.

Microsoft had started pushing Windows 10 Mobile Insider build 10586.63 yesterday afternoon but some people reported not not receiving it.

Gabriel Aul states on Twitter that it´s working now and shares some details about why it didn´t work for some.

Microsoft´s transition to Windows 10 Mobile results to be complicated and it seems the company is trying hard to deliver a convincing product. Market share of Windows Phone is down to just 1.7% according to Gartner figures for Q3 of 2015. In Q3 of 2014, Windows Phones still had a share of 3%.

International Data Corporation (IDC) predicts that Windows Phone / Windows 10 Mobile will not grow its market share until 2019. The prediction is based on Microsoft's lack of OEM partner support. In 4 years, Windows Phone´s market share is expected to only grow from 2.2% to 2.3%.
