Windows 10: Microsoft tricks users to upgrade with a new popup

“Upgrade Now” or “Upgrade Tonight” are the only buttons that are available in the new pop-up for Windows 10 upgrade. The pop-up box has been surprising PC users for a couple of weeks nowBefore the new pop-up box appeared, the upgrade promotion just showed up in the taskbar occasionally as a reminder.

Now Microsoft made another change that allowed users to just simply click through and take on the upgrade in a snap.

Redmond really does a great job in tricking users with two options that both result in an upgrade.

Only clicking on the red “x” button on the top-right of the box will close the pop-up and prevent the upgrade.

Microsoft´s aggressive update strategy

Just a week ago, TechRadar reported that Microsoft had thwarted a third-party software which blocked the Windows 10 upgrade pop-up.

Microsoft's heavy-handed strategy to get users upgrade to Windows 10 isn't getting anywhere as it only enrages other Windows OS users and leaves a bad image for the company.
