Microsoft is pushing a new update message to get Windows 7 and 8.1 users upgrade to Windows 10. With only two different options to upgrade, less tech savvy users nearly cannot escape anymore.
“Upgrade Now” or “Upgrade Tonight” are the only buttons that are available in the new pop-up for Windows 10 upgrade. The pop-up box has been surprising PC users for a couple of weeks nowBefore the new pop-up box appeared, the upgrade promotion just showed up in the taskbar occasionally as a reminder.
Now Microsoft made another change that allowed users to just simply click through and take on the upgrade in a snap.
Redmond really does a great job in tricking users with two options that both result in an upgrade.
Only clicking on the red “x” button on the top-right of the box will close the pop-up and prevent the upgrade.
Microsoft´s aggressive update strategy
Just a week ago, TechRadar reported that Microsoft had thwarted a third-party software which blocked the Windows 10 upgrade pop-up.
Microsoft's heavy-handed strategy to get users upgrade to Windows 10 isn't getting anywhere as it only enrages other Windows OS users and leaves a bad image for the company.
