For real command prompt fans, quick access is key. We show you eight different ways to open a normal or elevated command prompt with admin rights.

A) Opening Command Prompt using Windows key + X (Users Tasks Menu)
Press the Windows key + X and click on Command Prompt.
B) Opening a Windows 10 with the Task Manager
Press the Ctrl + Shift + Esc or right click on task bar and click on Task Manager. From the menu bar, open File and while you are holding Ctrl key, click on Run new task
C) Opening a Windows 10 Command Prompt with the Task Bar Search I
Open the Start menu and in search bar, type cmd and when the Command Prompt comes up, right click on it and select Run as administrator.
D) Opening a Windows 10 Command Prompt in the Start Menu
After opening the Start menu, click on All Apps and find Command Prompt under Windows System. Right click on it and select Run as administrator.
E) Opening a Windows 10 Command Prompt with a Hotkey + Command
Press the Windows key + S on keyboard and type cmd. When Command Prompt shows up, right click on it and select Run as administrator.
F) Opening a Windows 10 Command Prompt with Admin rights in File Explorer I
Open Run by pressing Windows key + R and type the following address:
C:WindowsSystem32
Find cmd.exe, right click on it and click Run as administrator.
G) Opening a Windows 10 Command Prompt with Admin Rights in File Explorer II
Press Windows key + E to open a File Explorer. Select or open a drive or folder where you want to open the Command Prompt in that specific location. Then from the menu bar you need to open File and click Open command prompt as administrator.
H) Opening a Windows 10 Command Prompt with a Shortcut Symbol
Find cmd.exe as shown in the previous step. Drag the symbol to the desktop while holding down the CTRL and SHIFT keys. It will say Create link in Desktop under the dragged symbol. Then release the symbol on the Desktop to create the shortcut.
After that you can also pin the command prompt shortcut to the Taskbar and the Windows 10 Start Menu.
